Wolfgangyb is a seasoned Electronic Music Producer whose music has the North West jumping wild. Based out of Portland, Oregon, Wolfgangyb has been producing music for over 5 years. Working with various clients, he has produced several musical scores, various audio recordings, and numerous personal productions.
Motivated by many great artists, Wolfgangyb takes a lot of his inspiration from the world around him. He enjoys fabricating virtual instruments and developing a sonic story from them. His song “Disconnect,” was fabricated by the noise made from unplugging an auxiliary chord from a live audio feed. As he describes it “there is something beautiful and tragic about the sound. Like everything can sound perfect until you abruptly unplug it.” He found that the disruptive and aggressive sound was a perfect way to tell his sonic story. Many of his pieces are developed this way due to Wolfgangyb’s interest in the Sonic Arts.
Since developing a passion for music Wolfgangyb has continually searched for new ways of developing and improving his sound. Before attending school, Wolfgangyb worked with various clients editing music and scoring music to film. While developing his skills Wolfgangyb was also pursuing an education in Computer Science. In 2017 he finished his Associates in Computer Science from Portland Community College. After taking a short break from school he went back to study music at Portland State University. While attending school Wolfgangyb wrote and performed several live scores working with other artists/groups such as Counterfeit Kubrick and Portland States Laptop Ensemble. Wolfgangyb graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sonic Arts and Music Production in the Summer of 2020.

Last year Wolfgangyb released his debut album called Isolation. This project was a way to showcase all the numerous pieces he developed while in school. This album has been Wolfgangyb’s most successful project yet and he hopes to develop a sequel! Most recently Wolfgangyb created a musical event called March Music Madness, as a spoof of the collegiate basketball tournament. The main purpose of the event was to write, mix and master a piece of music for every week of the month; and release it on a Friday. Starting on the first Friday of March, Wolfgangyb released in order the songs Iris, Disconnect, 0 Tears, and Dark Paradise. With many aspects of the music industry fading due to the pandemic, Wolfgangyb hopes to develop his connections with other independent artists and grow the Northwest's musical influence.
